Station Hill welcomes Pathways to Property students for hands-on learning experience

Station Hill recently welcomed students from the Pathways to Property summer school, offering them a first-hand look at one of the UK’s most ambitious regeneration projects and inspiring the next generation of property professionals.

Organised by the Reading Real Estate Foundation at Henley Business School, the annual programme introduces 16–18-year-old students from across the UK to careers in property and planning. Station Hill has become a key live case study for the initiative and has hosted Pathways to Property students for several years, giving them valuable insight into the design, development and delivery of a large-scale mixed-use project.

This year’s session was led by Lee Fearnhead from Lincoln Property Company, who guided students through the vision behind Station Hill and the process of bringing the project to life. The visit included a tour of the site and interactive discussions covering topics such as placemaking, sustainability and the use of smart technology in modern construction. Students were also challenged to develop creative proposals for future phases of the Station Hill masterplan.

The event forms part of Station Hill’s ongoing commitment to supporting education, skills development and community engagement across Reading and the Thames Valley. By continuing to host initiatives such as Pathways to Property, the team is helping to open up opportunities in the built environment for young people from all backgrounds.

Station Hill continues to set a new benchmark for sustainable, community-focused regeneration — creating a vibrant destination for living, working and learning in the heart of Reading.
