Flight Club’s Opening Date REVEALED

Flight Club, the lively  fairground-inspired cocktail and  Social Darts bar,  has confirmed today that it will open its doors at Station Hill,  Reading, on 1st May. The team behind the globally renowned bar and entertainment spot has also shared a sneak peek of what the new addition to Reading’s nightlife will look like through an artist’s impression.

This marks the second Flight Club to open in the Thames Valley, following the Oxford opening at the end of 2024. The newest Flight Club is located in Reading’s Station Hill development, adjacent to the train station. The opening of the eagerly awaited bar comes perfectly timed for summer get-togethers with friends, family and colleagues, as it is set to welcome its first guests over the Early May Bank Holiday weekend – kicking off summer with a bang.

Flight Club is built around bringing groups together for an unforgettable time. When the one-of-a-kind bar and social experience lands in Reading this May, locals will be treated to a stunning bar with a beyond-buzzing atmosphere, craft cocktails, sharing dishes and high-energy games.

So, what can Reading expect to see when Flight Club opens its doors?

The setting

All of Flight Club’s venues are designed to look spectacular, inspired by a Victorian fairground combined with a traditional British pub. Think carnival-style lights that blink in time to the music, carousel horses, and little touches throughout that evoke all the nostalgia of a load of fun at the fair.

The menu

Food on offer at Flight Club consists of crowd-pleasing sourdough pizza paddles, sharing platters and small plates. Drinks include a mix of signature cocktails and classics with a twist.

The vibe

This is a place where you can bond with your besties at brunch, catch up with colleagues over a post-work cocktail or dance with your ride-or-dies to banging DJ sets late into the night. And of course, the day or night option to go wild and unleash your competitive side with a spot of Social Darts.

The games

Flight Club has given the game of darts a serious makeover. Its version – Social Darts – is made for groups and can be played by literally anyone, whether a darts sniper or total novice.  This reimagined version of darts uses clever tech to deliver fast-paced, immersive games that groups of up to 12 can play on each oche. There’s auto-scoring and loads of on-screen action, including hilarious, shareable replays of the best moments.

Flight Club promises to release more juicy details about what to expect from the brand-new 6,211-square-foot Reading venue soon.

Steve Moore, CEO and co-founder of Flight Club, said, ”We are beyond excited to bring Flight Club to Reading and become part of the vibrant new community at Station Hill. After seeing how much the Thames Valley embraced our Oxford opening, we knew Reading had to be on our hit list. We can’t wait to welcome everyone through our doors this May to experience some Social Darts and our signature fairground magic—just in time for the first bank holiday of the summer.”
